Rehearsal Piano
Matt is happy to be able to offer diversity as an accompanist. It may be that you’re looking for someone to work with you towards your exam grades/diplomas or degree recitals – or are looking for someone to duo with for classical recitals. Whichever the case, he is likely to be able to help you.

Teaching
Matt’s piano teaching experience spans over 20 years, and welcomes students from ages 7 – 105! He has taught beginners, both children and adults with students achieving great success at grade 8 and diploma level. A number of his students have gone on to study music at the UK’s Universities and Conservatoires

Organ & Accompaniment
Matt is currently Associate Organist at Holy Trinity Church in Wordsley, and is available to play for weddings, funerals, Christenings and most services within the Anglican and Roman Catholic tradition. He has also played for Welsh Chapel services in the past, so has a broad knowledge of relevant hymns.

Recitals
Matt did his training in piano performance and teaching diplomas at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Coleg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru), in Cardiff. Whilst there, he was awarded the Laura Ashley Memorial Scholarship and the John Morgan Lloyd Prize for performance. One of Matt’s biggest ambitions, is to bring classical music to a younger generation, playing a healthy mix of traditional sonatas and smaller scale works; combined with his locally renowned improvisations on popular themes as selected by the audience.
